Hello from Floof Pop

Meet the real Kiki

Kiki is a real kitten. Her name is Crystal, a fluffy calico with big amber eyes. She came home as a gift for my eldest daughter, but now she's best friends with all three of my girls. At home, they call her Kiki.

Whenever the girls sit down to color, Kiki hops onto the table, curls up right in the middle of their page, and knocks the pencils off the table with her paw, one by one. Nobody minds. It's the best excuse to start a new picture.

My daughters love coloring. My wife loves coloring and painting. So I had an idea: turn Kiki into a character, and put the two things our family loves most, Crystal and coloring, into one book.

Why is Kiki a little brighter?

Kittens change color as they grow, and Crystal's coat is getting a little deeper all the time. For the books we gave Kiki bright gray, ginger and white, so she's easy to recognize and fun to color. You can color her any way you like!

Pom came along too. Every kitten needs a best friend, and a tiny chick who hides in everything turned out to be perfect.

Why "Floof Pop"?

That part is me. I'm big and cuddly, like a teddy bear, so I'm the Floof. And my girls call me Pops, so I'm the Pop. Floof Pop is a dad making books for his family, and for yours.

How we make the books

Every page is planned, checked and fixed until Kiki looks just right: two front paws, a striped tail, a happy face, and Pom somewhere on the page. Then the pages get colored at home, to make sure they're fun to color.
